Privacy policy

Effective date: 4 October 2026

Who we are

DataSense8 (“we”, “us”) is a data analytics firm based in Los Angeles, California. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

When you write to us by email or through the contact form: your name, email address, company, and whatever you put in the message.

When you browse the site: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.

The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not build profiles of visitors.

Why we use it

To reply to you, prepare a quote and run an engagement you asked for (steps at your request before a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).

To keep the site secure and working and to understand which pages are useful (our legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

To keep records required by tax and accounting law (legal obligation, GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Who receives it

Only service providers that help us run the business, under their own confidentiality and security terms: our email provider (Microsoft 365), our web hosting provider, our domain and DNS provider (GoDaddy). We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Our providers and we are in the United States. If you write from the EU, UK or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and stored in the US.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 2 years after our last contact. Contracts, invoices and related correspondence: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs: as set by the hosting provider, typically weeks.

Client data in engagements

Data you give us to analyse is not covered by this policy. It is handled under our written agreement and NDA: access only to what the task needs, no publication without written consent, deletion from our systems after handover unless agreed otherwise. A data processing agreement is available on request.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the rights to restrict processing, to object, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track

We do not track visitors across sites over time, and we do not allow third parties to do so on this site. Because there is nothing to switch off, the site does not change its behaviour in response to Do Not Track signals.

Children

The site and our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we also say so on the home page for 30 days, and email people we are working with.

This policy is published in English and Russian. If the versions differ, the English version prevails.
